An Open Letter to Parents, Guardians, and the Seitz Elementary Community;

Since we opened our school, Fort Riley personnel, USD 475 central administration staff, and Seitz Elementary staff have made changes and improvements for our school family in regard to roadways and parking lots for arrival and dismissal of students. The latest effort was the addition of a turn lane on Rifle Range Road which was completed a few years ago. Some parents have requested we utilize the front of our school for vehicle drop off/pick up traffic and we will again accommodate these requests for the 2019-2020 school year.

Please begin discussing with your family your best option for arrival and dismissal. Will your children be car riders or walkers? Car riders will arrive and dismiss through the front three doors and walkers will dismiss out the back doors putting them closer to the majority of the homes. Car drivers will have the option to use the drop off/pick up lane OR they can park in the lot and use a crosswalk.

Keeping a set routine and sharing that with your child’s teacher during our Meet the Teacher event on 8/13/19 from 4:00-5:30 will continue to be important. We hope you will practice your family’s arrival/dismissal prior to the first day of school.

Attached are maps showing driveways, parking lots, and door locations for your convenience.  Let’s work together to make this school year the best yet!
