Hello!
Fifth grade students at Seitz Elementary School receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in middle school and beyond. In language arts, students focus on reading comprehension, writing, and grammar skills. They read a variety of literature, including fiction and non-fiction, and learn to analyze and interpret what they read. In math, students build upon their knowledge of basic math concepts to delve into more complex topics, such as fractions, decimals, and geometry. They also learn problem-solving strategies to help them solve real-world math problems. Science and social studies round out the curriculum, with students learning about topics such as the solar system, ecosystems, American history, and geography. Additionally, students have opportunities to participate in enrichment activities, such as music, art, and physical education. By the end of fifth grade, Seitz students are well-prepared for the challenges of middle school and beyond.
